- Also worked as a brachytherapy nurse in which I worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to give internal radiation treatments. I was one of the team members who started internal radiation treatments for a breast cancer trial which entailed many changes to our brachytherapy suite including equipment, documentation, required supplies, and multidisciplinary team. I went to nursing and radiation seminars to talk about how this was done. Our internal radiation also included cervical, prostate, and endometrial cancers. I coordinate and schedule all patients who are eligible for these treatments and work with the anesthesia team, PACU nurses, physicians, and physics to deliver treatment.
