Summary
I am a certified Adult-Gerontology NP since 2015 and RN since 1989. I am experienced in leadership which began at the start of my career as a RN and Captain in the Air Force. I continued in a leadership role as GO Specialist, and currently as Mid-Level Provider.
I educated and directed nursing home staff while providing quality of care to patients' in the nursing home setting. As business owner, supervised LPN staff in providing care in patient's home and in nursing facility setting, and manage the day to day activities of practice.
As Case Manager followed guidelines for inpatient admissions, utilization management, and assisted in discharge planning both on side of acute care hospital and insurance company.
Currently continue to provide care to patient's in their homes, office, and to Veterans for pension and compensation. As an Options Counselor I continue to direct, educate and counsel on options available through Medicaid, State Funded Programs, and home and community based care.
