Hand Therapist in Outpatient Setting

• Evaluated and treated geriatric, adult and pediatric patients who sustained traumatic upper extremity injuries including tendon and ligament injuries, amputations, fractures, arthritis, cumulative trauma disorders and several other complicated hand disorders/diseases.
• Provided OT services to those individuals who were affected by neurological and/or muscular disorders/diseases including CVA's, Parkinson's, Muscular Dystrophy, Guillain Barre Syndrome and Spinal Cord Injuries.
• Proficient in use of physical agent modalities including iontophoresis, U/S, NMES, fluidotherapy, paraffin and hot/cold packs.
• Designed and fabricated equipment such as dynamic/static splints, braces and adaptive equipment on a daily basis.
• Launched OT services at a new satellite outpatient office. Responsibilities included marketing OT services; designing the OT treatment room; purchasing supplies and equipment. Collaborated with the Director of Rehabilitation to revise the OT hand evaluation and progress report tools.
