• Test raw materials and finished products for microbial contamination and other microbial tests
  Prepare and sterilize culture media reagents as required
• Timely completion of documentation and reports related to microbiological testing
  Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Validate procedures used in the micro lab
• Participate in QA related investigation as assigned by Manager
• Ensure adherence with GMPs and SOPs for all activities in microbiology lab and ensure audit readiness of microbiology lab
• Ensure reporting any OOS or issues in a timely manner to Supervisor or Manager
• Review of documentation – test results to assure material meets specifications.
• Interact effectively with co-workers and management in order to resolve problems.
  quality results as required by ISO regulations.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

• Pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving
• Interface with DPT Eurofins clients to resolve specimen issues
• Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies
• Supports DPT Euorfins’ business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics
• Recommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficiencies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Meets basic expectations of VRL’s quality management system, including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, accurate recordkeeping so the company may meet its stated quality policy and objectives
• Other duties as assigned by management

• Assists in all tasks associated with the production of Non-Marek's poultry vaccines as outlined in the departmental procedures, which may include, but are not limited to: Performing all processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures; utilizes sterile technique at all times; active knowledge of working under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment
• Communicates any occurrence to team leader and/or supervisor immediately
• Responsible for keeping the lab area clean, sterile and in compliance at all times
• Prepared lab for daily operations by stocking materials and equipment.
• Disposed of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions.
• Supported cleanliness and health standards to foster safe and effective sample analysis.
• Measuring liquid volume; convert units of measure and perform moderately complex calculations

• Collect fecal specimens from login, scan into loads, and prepare for set up.
• Accurately label processing tubes when building loads.
• Split specimens for Giardia ELISA when required.
• Find missing specimens. Print and reconcile queue list.
• Maintain organization of storage refrigerator.
• Dispose of old fecal specimens.
• Maintain all equipment including hoods, centrifuges, etc.
• Reads, understands and follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), including safety and quality procedures.
• Responsible for general lab maintenance and overall cleanliness for laboratory and equipment.
• Manages lab inventory, l procures supplies, and stock shelves as needed.
