• Chief of the Construction Inspection and Management Branch (CIMB) of the California Department of General Services. Led a team of 62 construction supervisors/inspectors in four (4) Area Offices throughout the State responsible for construction management and supervision, construction inspection, quality assurance, contract and code compliance, and coordination of inspections by authorities having jurisdiction.
• Led the procurement, development, roll out, initial implementation and customization of Digital project management software, Procore, leading to full implementation in 2019. This transformed how the staff and all the stakeholders on a construction project work together, greatly improving communication, collaboration and involvement, creating efficiencies in accessing and distributing project documentation in real time.
• Improved work conditions and moral for the field staff, improved branch services, and increased customer engagement and satisfaction.

• Collaborated with regional management to develop strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth in key performance areas for the branch.

  -DCU was primarily responsible for providing direct construction services utilizing union and non-union tradespeople to multiple State agencies and departments for renovation, restoration and tenant improvement of State facilities and infrastructure. Uniquely experienced in historical restoration and providing direct construction assistance in emergency response situations.

• Chief of the Direct Construction Unit (DCU) in the Construction Services Branch responsible for emergency response for multiple State agencies and departments, to repair, restore or renovate State facilities and infrastructure to meet their operational or service needs.
• Continually repaired, maintained and restored 295+/- residences owned by CalTrans in Pasadena.
• Employed a ready labor force of construction supervisors and tradespeople capable of doing virtually any construction work or construction project where time or operational constraints existed.
• Historical renovation and restoration of State facilities, most notably the California Governor's Mansion, Sacramento, CA
• Managed 24 permanent staff members out of two Area Offices and one Satellite Office, hired and deployed 180 tradespeople annually.
