Collecting Cufflinks
When I began to approach my military retirement I began to study how civilian business men dressed. Serving in our military for more than 20 years I new I was out of touch with the civilian dress code, so I began to read and look at GQ magazine on what was the latest dress fashions and how the business world dressed I came upon a photo with a well-dressed gentlemen wearing a set of cufflinks that set his image off that made me say that's how I wanted present myself and create my own image of who I am.
So I started buying cufflinks, by the time I reached my retirement I had collected 75 sets of cufflinks, and no two sets are a like. Then where ever I travel within the United States or out of country I look and buy myself a set of unique cufflinks.
