  • Managed day-to-day business operations.
  • Followed up on leads, Measured jobs, measured and read blue (when available) and completed bids.
  • Worked with Customer or Interior Decorators to create custom designs, color scheme, pick material suitable for the job.
  • My jobs were bid “Turn Key” So Once design or Customers vision was Determined and understood i would have labor Bid Completed. i could set crew in motion preforming prep work, hardiboard installed, shower pans installed, “Mud Float” Floors, or Plaster Shower walls.
  • The second part of my bids would be selling the material. After speaking with a customer and decorator i would set up another meeting that i would pick up materials from Whole Sellers and bring several samples of the material to be sold at or near Retail to used on the Job. Anything from Stone, Glass, Ceramic, Porcelain, vinyl wood strip, engineered wood, real wood, saltillo, even Tallavera.
  • The jobs my company worked on ranged for 3’X3’ Shower replacements covered by insurance, Stone and Tile work installed in Multimillion Dollar Homes, and also bought so Burnout homes to be gutted, remodeled, and flipped.
  • I’ve always kept up with the New Trends, New Products, for Floor and wall covering and treatments . I’ve also kept up with Radiant Under Floor Heating and Emergency Water Over Flow Sensors that can shut off the Main Water Value if excessive amounts of water activate sensors placed near Washers, Dishwashers, Showers, and Water Heaters.
  • I also have an Extensive Knowledge of Adhesive, Thinsets, Mortars, and Grouts. There are Adhesives available for every Vinyl strip flooring along with different adhesives for Real wood and Engineered wood floors. Then you have Thinset mortars not only for the substrate you are applying tile or stone over on the floor or on the wall. They have different thinsets mortars for different sizes of tile and specific Thinset mortars for ceramic, porcelain, and Stone. There is even a thinset mortar made to adhere tiles of all types overhead that is light weight.
  • As Owner/Operator i took care of all bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, licensing, insurance, and taxes.
  • 6 months before COVID-19 I bought a Store front and about 3/4 of an acre on South Padre Island Drive (10010 SPID. Corpus Christi, TX 78418). I was Running Duane Perry Tile and had 4-5 permanent employees but depending on work load i had Another 14-15 guys who i had help over the years to train and start their own tile installation, construction, or Remodeling companies that i would pull in to subcontract all or parts of jobs depending on size of the job and depending on number of jobs I would have going at the same time. I was trying to expand into Buying tile, stone, and wood from Whole Sellers to sell out of my Retail Store called “Perry’s Coastal Concept” or “PCC”. I just had myself and my 2 businesses spread out too thin and too much Overhead with buying property and stock for my New Business when COVID-19 hit and i had to shut both of my businesses down the Pandemic.
  • For the last 5 years I’ve been doing small 1 and 2 man jobs while following my wife who has been doing Traveling Nurse Contracts. We have settled down in League City, Texas and my wife is Taking on an Executive Administrative Position to Start another Hospice near Bellaire Area and plan on moving between the area she will be working and where I’ll be working.

  • NOI corp had over 800 rental units.. 1 small apartment complex, duplexes, fouplexes, condos and 150 homes. Most of the homes were built in the ‘40’s & ‘50’s that I had replaced about 75% of the shower pans on those rental homes.
  • NOI would have a “Make Ready” season starting in May and running through September 1st which coincided with Texas A&M University’s end of Spring and Beginning of Fall Semesters, also ran with NOI’s - 9 month & 12 month Leases. I would get a list of vacant units and I would preform the list of following duties which includes anything that needed to br fixed and any new Safety and Security duties that the city may have added.
  • Performed minor wall repair, installed drywall and applied wallpaper.
  • Performed basic electrical work and plumbing repairs such as installing new toilets, removing electrical wires, unclogging drains and maintaining gutters.
  • Removed and repaired carpet and wood flooring.
  • Prepared for new painting by removing previous materials with seam-cleaning, sandblasting, scraping and sanding.
