Community Service and Volunteer Positions

  • Girl Scouts, Silver Award Project, 2015-05-14, -I earned my Silver Award through Girl Scouts on May 14, 2015. In this project with the help of my fellow teammates we helped inform others about how helpful recycling can be to the Earth. It took over 75 hours outside of meetings to plan two events and actually run them on our own.
  • Service Unit Manager Position, 2010, -Having been in the world of Scouting since 2010 I’ve been able to grow with it. Now being involved as an adult it has given me the opportunity to step in as SUM for the West Valley Area, covering Porter Ranch/Chatsworth/Granada Hills communities. I have been able to learn how to work with other adults, active scouts at the High School level and below. I was also in charge of collecting donations for the Palisades and Pasadena fires which consisted of hygienic products, clothing, food and necessities for donation centers and fire stations.
  • Girl Scout event host, -During my Junior year in High School I was granted many opportunities that were typically given to Seniors. I hosted an event for 150 guests including a competition for high school level girls. Through these events I was able to help make schedules and coordinate an entire event with a group of 3 others aside from hosting it., -This past summer I was able to lead a camp for younger girls in Frazier park my troop hosts annually. It required high energy as it would set the mood for the entire weekend along with being able to work as a team with 4 others.
