• CIS is a mainframe application with both batch and online processing. The online screens are in Quest for the call center team and in mainframe for the rest. The application's database infrastructure is predominantly built on IMS DB/DC. For several CIS subsystems, DB2 is also used alongside IMS for relational data storage and retrieval. Batch processing is handled using JCL, and some batch programs interface with VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method) files for sequential data storage. Screen definitions for online programs are created using SDF II, which integrates with IMS DC for defining and customizing 3270 screen layouts used in MPP. (Message Processing Programs).
• Prepared requirements, designed technical architecture, estimated level 0, coded, and conducted unit and integration testing for the project.

• The Global Purchasing System (GPS) was developed to improve the flow of purchasing information and knowledge worldwide. GPS can retrieve and consolidate purchasing data that resides in systems used within North American Operations (NAO), General Motors of Europe (GME), General Motors of Brazil (GMB), Asia Pacific Operations (APO), and Delphi Automotive systems. Geographically dispersed buyers and managers have direct access to purchasing data through GPS. By improving access to information, GPS helps the General Motors Worldwide Purchasing organization manage and facilitate its global purchasing process. This helps GM build a sustainable competitive advantage. GPS functionality covers action plans, sourcing recommendations, and issuing contracts to suppliers for direct materials.
