Accomplishments

The National Guard has truly pushed me to be a better Soldier, husband, farther to my 2 kids, and leader. When I joined the National Guard 20 years ago I asked my leadership what I needed to do to make it to 1SG the highest rank I could make it as a medic and with only 2 available spots in the state I knew I had my work cutout for me. I set a goal out to make it, it took almost 20 years but I accomplish that goal I set out. Now I have the honor to lead a Company of Soldiers to become better Soldiers, medics, and leaders as they progress in their career.

In the past 10 years I've started and ran 2 personal successful businesses. During the past 10 years I have learned a lot from business plans, customer relationships, record keeping, time management, working with project deadlines, and personal goals.

I feel being married for over 20 years is a true accomplishment during the 23 years I've learned so much and learning how to grow together and overcoming so much, I truly feel sticking things out for better or worse has been a true testament. It hasn't been easy especially with my military career and being gone a few times for 10 to 15 months at a time.

My kids are my greatest accomplishments I truly love being a dad to them. Like most I know I know I have messed up along the way but that's is part of parenting.
