Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including but not limited to various cable that includes twisted pair cable fiber optic, coax, as well as other low voltage cable.
• Install cable pathway's of various types and buildout telecom closets.
• Ensure proper cabling, termination, and connection of low voltage components according to industry standards and project specifications.

2. Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve issues with low voltage systems efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them to minimize downtime.

3. Collaboration:

• Work closely with Project Managers, Customers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.

4. Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and additional work performed.
• Create and update technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and as-builds.

5. Customer Service:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
• Provide clear explanations and demonstrations of low voltage systems to clients.

6. Compliance

• Adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing low voltage systems.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure compliance and best practices. Install, terminate, test, label, and document category 5e, 6, and 6a structured cabling.
• Clients include Publix, Rooms to Go, Baycare, Advent and Amazon.

• Fiber Optic termination, fusion splicing, and testing experience.
• Install, terminate, test, label and document all types of fiber optic, horizontal, and backbone cables.
• Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, etc…).
• Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other work area outlets.
• Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
• Firestop various types of cable penetrations.
• Test and document test results for cabling.
• Client was Hilton.

• Fiber Optic Technicians are responsible for the troubleshooting, installing, and repairing of residential fiber optics for internet and television services.
• Duties include installing feeder lines that provide cable access to homes and businesses.
• Splice and install fiber optic cable and set up equipment for customers.
• Training of new staff.
• Clients included schools and government facilities.
