Additional Information
While I was in high school, over the Summers, I volunteered at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The first year consisted mainly of patient transports and discharges, but the following years I was allowed to pick my department of choice, which ended up being the lab. The main tasks included organizing and labeling lab equipment and machines. Occasionally, if you were lucky, one of the lab workers would show you some lab samples, which usually included some type of tissue biopsy or blood sample.
