The site was called Frost-Town and was located in Naples, NY. It was a logging town from the 1800s but the primary focus was on the Hall Site. Excavated in 1x1 meter units and practiced using the total station to grid out the site. Did lots of Public Archaeology by teaching young kids how to excavate and study/identify artifacts. Also, had a community day where the public came out to visit the site and gave tours of the site and labs. Did a small side project on the cemetery across the street where we used the total station to plot points and create a grid of the site
The site was called Peffer Farmstead, located in Fairport, PA. It was a 6‑week field school where we learned the basics of excavating and studied historical artifacts such as brick, ceramic, nails, mortar, etc. We excavated in 1x1 meter units and STP's.
