Promotes equity and consistency across the system by ensuring that administrative regulations that govern magnet are followed, and practices are consistent
Coordinates with PSE, ESL and Student Services to ensure proper consideration for students with IEPs, ELD designations, or 504 plans with respect to eligibility criteria
Maintains accurate data and records within and outside of existing data systems
Ensures my office is following procedures to ensure fidelity of magnet processes and accuracy of data
Develops and manage processes for periodic reviews of data during the lottery application and post-lottery period with a targeted effort on ensuring that all families receive timely communications
Proactively recommends policy and practice changes to improve the overall process of applying to and enrolling into a magnet program for families, staff, and students
Coordinates closely with DREA/Central Enrollment to align timelines and promote a smooth process for families pre-registering with PPS in order to apply to a magnet program.
Proactively seeks out opportunities to promote the District overall, including neighborhood schools and magnet programs, and share information with key stakeholders in the community
Presents to current and prospective families to promote offerings and options with Pittsburgh Public Schools generally, including within magnet schools/programs
