I am a float pool. I can be floated to Critical Care areas such as Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU and Emergency Department. I am highly skilled and trained to take care of patients in critical conditions

• ICU Travel RN - Take bed side shift report from outgoing RN on the bedside
• - I make my rounds on all my assigned patient and take vital signs on each one of them
• - Do physical assessment on my patient from head to toe
• - Read patients chart for history and physical, any progress notes, check doctors' orders to be sure there is not any pending laboratory or any radiology orders
• - No
• Of Beds- 50 - Nurse to patient ratio 1:2

• Take bedside shift report with outgoing RN via verbal and written method
• - Make individual rounds on all patients to ensure safety precautions are in place
• - Take vital signs and do a head-to-toe physical assessment on all patients
• - Check charts for past, current, and pending orders to ensure quality care is given to patients
• - Administer medications as scheduled or if needed, PRN medications made available as well
• - Manage mechanical ventilator on patient needing life support
• - Titrating medication on drips as needed for patient safety as per doctors' orders
• - Ensure open beds are ready for admission, or in case, there is emergencies such as code blue/rapid response, or in any situation that a patient may need the available room
• - Coordinate care with physician and any members
• - Involve in any patient care to ensure patient safety.

• Receives verbal, written, electronic report from outgoing RN
• - Take shift rounds to each patient to ensure safety precautions are in place
• - Take each patients vital signs and record them on the system
• - Checks for completed, pending orders from physician or any task that needs to be performed
• - Reviews medical records of patient or any information regarding patients' status
• - Check and make sure patients who are on life support such as mechanical ventilator to support airway is functioning properly to ensure patient safety
• - Medication administration ordered by physician
• - Assist patient and or family in patient care involvement, answer inquiries regarding patient care
• - Coordinate care with physician and any other healthcare professional involved in patient care.

• Check on daily assignments verbally and electronically
• - Receive shift report from outgoing RN via verbal, written and if applicable, through electronic charting system
• - Conduct initial review on patients' chart, read patients history and physical of this hospital stay
• - Do a full head to toe assessment and vital signs on patients assigned to ensure quality care
• - Assist patient and family in planning care regarding patient's condition, implementing and evaluating actions meet high quality patient care and safety
• - Manage critical care patients, titrate medications on drips as per doctors' orders
• - Work together with Respiratory Therapist in managing patients on life support such as mechanical ventilator
• - Document shift progress notes and give bedside shift report to oncoming RN
• - Nurse to Patient Ratio 1:2

• Assist patient and family in planning care regarding patient's condition, implementing and evaluating actions meet high quality patient care and safety
• - Manage critical care patients, titrate medications on drips as per doctors' orders
• - Work together with Respiratory Therapist in managing patients on life support such as mechanical ventilator
• - Document shift progress notes and give bedside shift report to oncoming RN
• - Trauma Level I - Nurse to Patient Ratio 1:2

• Received bedside shift report verbal and written
• - Performed initial assessment for each patient, vital signs taken, repositioned bedbound patients to prevent pressure ulcers
• - Medication administered as per doctors' orders, titrated medications drips, manages critical care patients on mechanical ventilator, ensuring ventilator settings are appropriate
• - Documented assessment and any progress report from shift - Handed off report to oncoming RN
• - Trauma Level I - Nurse to Patient Ratio 1:2

• Received report from outgoing charge RN
• - Delegate assignments to each RN staff
• - Round to all patients to ensure safety precautions are in place
• - Prepare empty rooms for admission and or in case of emergency such as code blue and patients needing a higher level of care
• - Assist staff RN with performing tracheostomy care if needed
• - Coordinates with doctors and emergency department for patient admissions and discharge
• - Coordinates with doctors for any abnormalities in a timely manner to be able to address the issue as soon as possible
• - Assist patients and families regarding plan of care
