I am an alumni of the University of Texas at Dallas, having graduated in June 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. My work background is in the service industry, which has taught me what I believe to be the two most important skills one could have: how to be good to people and how to stay grounded. Currently, I am a Bar Manager at Loro in Addison, Texas, which entails ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, the security of the restaurant, and keeping track of all financial aspects, from sales to tips to cash held in the registers and safe. I am a brother of Delta Tau Delta, a fraternity which has taught me so much about myself and others. The people I have met and the people who have shown up for me throughout my time at UT Dallas are invaluable and have constantly shaped me into being someone who is better than I was the previous day.
Work History
Bar Manager
3 Years 7 Months- I began as a server, promoted to bartender, and was promptly promoted to bar manager. In these positions I improved my time management, social, and financial skills. As bar manager, I ensure that all financial information at the end of the night is accounted for and inputted correctly, from tips to deposits to all cash in the restaurant. I am also responsible for maximizing guest and employee satisfaction by acting with care, compassion, and purpose. I have experience both selling and hosting large corporate or networking events at the restaurant, as well as working various festivals and city events around the DFW.
Bartender
10 Months- I was responsible for maintaining an exceptional guest experience, both at the bar and at the golf bays, as well as handle dozens of credit/debit card and cash transactions per day, as well as ensuring all financials were accounted for at the end of my shift. I also learned crucial networking and people skills that have helped me at both my current position and life outside of work.
Alumni Engagement Representative
3 Months- I would reach out to hundreds of alumni per day, verifying contact information, making conversation, and getting advice/perspectives, and asking for donations toward the university, as well as:
- Promote company products, services, and savings plans when appropriate.
- Update directory information.
- Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
- Listen to customer requests, referring to alphabetical or geographical directories to answer questions and provide telephone information.
Remote Customer Service Representative
4 Months- Resolve over 70 customer inquiries weekly, via phone and email, exceeding targets.
- Resolved over 50 customer complaints per week via phone and email.
- Provided accurate and useful information regarding policies, products, and procedures to customers upon request.

Crew Member
3 Months- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
- Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
- Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
- Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
- Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
- Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
- Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
- Coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to maximize efficiency.
- Deliver quick, efficient, and friendly service to all customers in store and drive-thru.
Basketball Referee
4 Months- Officiate at sporting events, games, or competitions, to maintain standards of play and to ensure that game rules are observed.
- Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants in order to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
- Keep track of event times, including race times and elapsed time during game segments, starting, or stopping play when necessary.
- Signal participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play or competition.
- Resolve claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants and assess any necessary penalties, according to regulations.
- Teach and explain the rules and regulations governing a specific sport.
- Confer with other sporting officials, coaches, players, and facility managers in order to provide information, coordinate activities, and discuss problems.
