Objective: To design and develop a polypectomy snare device that is designed with an axial rotation to bend and reach polyps. This includes creating prototypes which involve designing validation tests and verification tests to ensure the device provides safety and quality.

  • Responsibilities needed for this position are initial market analysis, intellectual property infringement analysis, competitive landscape analysis, and utilizing several initial risk management tools.
  • Developing a working knowledge of medical device regulations, including medical device pathways, design controls, and traceability matrix.
  • Developing PowerPoint presentations and written documentation in support of weekly design team meetings and monthly design review gate meetings. Developing an approach to launch and market a new device. This includes intellectual property laws related to the medical device reprocessing industry and device lifecycle.

  • Communicating with the Quality Unit and Chemist to give a report about the performance of rubber and how to improve defects.
