I have a rare distinction in that I have a family member who was employed as a Major league umpire for 31 years.He is 1 of 10 umpires inducted into the Hall of Fame.His name is Doug Harvey. He was a crew chief for 18 of 31 years at the job .In the many years that he was an umpire he called 5 World Series and 9 National league Championship Series.With a total of 4,673 games called.He was one of the greatest umpires in Major league baseball.For which I am extremely proud.
