TESTIMONY

I grew up in a Christian home, my father was a pastor and my mother taught Sunday School From the time I was very young I was taught about the love that God has for us and that Jesus came and died for our sins in order that we could have fellowship with the Lord When I was seven years old, at a Sunday night service, while the congregation sang “The Nail-scarred Hand”, I walked the aisle and told my father that I wanted to “place my hand in the Nail-scarred Hand” He went through the Bible showing me that I was a sinner and needed Jesus in my life and I prayed and asked Jesus into my heart Throughout my life I have had struggles and times that I strayed from God but He never left me When I repented and sought His forgiveness, He was there to forgive and restore me

CALLING

Because of my father being a minister, when asked if I was going to follow in his footsteps, I would reply that I didn’t want to be a preacher Gently and methodically the Holy Spirit dealt with me in such a way that I came to realize that I wanted to live my life to honor God in all that I do Doors of opportunity opened for me in the field of full-time Christian service while other doors closed When I was nineteen, while sitting in the pew reading my Bible in Jeremiah 1:4-7 where the Lord says to Jeremiah to go and preach, I felt the Lord saying to me that I should go as well Two things in my life are certain; my assurance of salvation and my calling to full time Christian service
