Eduardo Santiago I was born in Fort Wayne, IN. And raised in Guanajuato, Mexico. When I turned 18 I moved to the United States again and joined the Army National Guard I have always been a hardworker, I am willing to learn something new every day. I constantly challenge myself because I know that I always can do better. I have experience in leadership positions in groups of over 30 people Some of my hobbies are: Hiking, Swimming, reading and Playing videogames. I like being around people smarter than me, because that is a way for me to learn from experienced people.

  • As cleaners we are responsible of performing cleaning duties in construction environments and data centers. We know how to work around fragile equipment and how to clean it properly, server racks for example.
  • I play the role of a Team leader, I lead a group of over 10 people to get our assignments done in a safety manner. I make sure any issues within the team are solved, make sure everyone is following the proper safety protocols, such as wearing proper PPE all the time, checking all of our equipment so we know it is in a good condition, stay away from electrical hazard areas, etcetera. And training new staff.
  • I am also an Interpreter, since most of our team do not speak English, I help my team communicate with our bosses when some payment issues happens, when they have any idea of how to improve in our assignments or just when they need me in any situation.

  • As an IT Specialist with the Indiana Army National Guard, I provide essential technical support for both military and civilian systems. My responsibilities cover some IT functions, including:
  • - Network administration, where I configure, monitor, and maintain secure LAN and WAN infrastructure across military bases. This involves implementing routing protocols, managing IP addressing schemes, and ensuring network stability during operations.
  • - System and hardware troubleshooting, which includes diagnosing and resolving issues with desktops, laptops, servers, printers and peripheral devices. I support both tactical field equipment and garrison systems to keep operations running smoothly.
  • - Cybersecurity support, where I help enforce protocols in all equipment in my unit. And also teach how to enforce these protocols to soldiers.
  • - Helpdesk and end-user support, providing Tier I and Tier II technical assistance to staff. This includes software installation, account setup, and troubleshooting access problems.
  • To prepare for this role, I completed a 20-week training program, totaling 744 hours of classroom instruction. Where I took classes of IT basics, network management, helpdesk operations, cybersecurity fundamentals, hardware and software troubleshooting, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • During my time in training I was a Platoon Guide, the person responsible of getting the accountability of the soldier and spread new information from the Drill Sergeants to my platoon
  • This position has sharpened my ability to work in high-pressure situations. And maintain secure, efficient IT systems.
