Serves as a Lead Police Officer (CLE) with responsibility for all conservation law enforcement patrol operations within Ft. Leonard Wood. Assists in promoting and enforcing Federal, State, Department of the Army, and Ft. Leonard Wood regulations and guidance. Maintains communications with patrol units and passes directions and information to subordinate law enforcement officers on patrol assignments; coordinates emergency responses between law enforcement, security, fire, and other emergency units; and receives and acts on calls concerning reports of violations or complaints. Incumbent ensures proper response to various calls for law enforcement services at all levels to include crimes in progress, citizen complaints, and emergency situations; initiates emergency actions by law enforcement forces during emergency situations; and maintains status of patrols to include location, assigned mission and capabilities. Supervises investigations not referred to detectives in areas such as, but not limited to, fish and game violations, thefts, assaults, illegal drug possession, and domestic disputes. Supervises performing access control duties by applying local instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Pre-Planned Responses (PPR), Random Anti-terrorism Measure (RAM), and Force Protection (FP) Conditions to control vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Protects personnel, material, tactical military assets, and high value assets by executing daily RAM and supplemental anti-terrorism measures during increased force protection conditions. Responsible to establish Incident Command at the onset of terrorist attack or other significant incident affecting public safety and the installation mission. Assures criminal or Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures are met to protect installation command and assure mission accomplishment. Participates in AT exercises to maintain proficiency in response to installation natural or terrorist threats. Employs National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) protocols to establish command and control, develop a course of action to contain, mitigate, and recover from the incident. Plans work, prepares schedules for completion of work, distributes and balances the workload among other employees, instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques, and provides on-the-job training to new employees. Plans work to be accomplished; sets and adjusts priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work; and assigns work based on priorities. Performs other additional duties as assigned like Environment Compliance Officer and Recycling Coordinator. Currently holds a Secret security clearance.

During this time, I was in a cross over academy for the City of Pittsburgh. I received a better job offer in the City of Key West and took that job.
