Accountable for achieving work unit productivity standards and cost control goals. Understands high level analytical and technical information to plan and execute supply chain management best practices utilizing LEAN Six Sigma principles. Responsible for effective human resource management. Supports an efficient, cost-effective program within assigned work unit, including but not limited to inventory control, shipping, storage, receiving, distribution, transportation, warehousing, and data/information management. Supports standardization initiatives as identified by supply chain leadership to reduce costs, to achieve operational efficiency, and to ensure clinical availability of supplies. Manages the process of movement of supplies, equipment, services and inventory within their team while ensuring compliance with Mayo policies including spend authorization thresholds.
Completes weekly schedule for material handlers. Approves or denies time off requests. Verifies employee time cards. Assist with corrective actions. Manages work flow so that all tasks are completed in the most timely and efficient manner.
Works collaboratively with supervisor as a resource to unit personnel. Participates in and/or assists Supervisor with staffing, time cards, hiring and training. Maintains an expert knowledge of the work area and optimizes use of available technology. Effectively communicates information to staff, and supervisor. Assists supervisor in the coaching and development of staff, optimization of area productivity and service problem resolution, and development of internal processes. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills when resolving conflicts with staff and customers. Assists in daily oversight of staff activity, and performs day-to-day logistics functions.

Troubleshoot incidents when materials are misdelivered or late.
Document incidents of employee misconduct, when necessary.
In supervisors absence; approve overtime, approve/deny time off requests, adjust schedule to ensure all work is competed in timely and efficient manner.
