Shift Commander responsible for the safe operation of the Correctional Facility. Ensures all rules and regulations of the Correctional Facility are being adhered to by all staff. Always maintains a professional attitude especially when handling communications with outside agencies. Ensuring the chain-of-command is followed to maintain a continuity of institutional operations. Collaborate closely with the Major’s Office and Administration to disseminate, and ensure, implementation of all department directives. Directly responsible for processing all department reports, communications, schedules and records with accordance NJ DOC policy.

Area Sergeant responsible for ensuring the Officers under my supervision had the proper skills and support to maintain a safe working environment. Functioned as a mentor to less experienced staff providing guidance as needed. Assisted in maintaining control of the inmate population assuring all inmates behaved in accordance with all institutional guidelines.

Worked directly with the inmate population. Assisted in the implementation of institutional policies by directly ensuring the safe and secure running of the Facility. Preformed all assigned duties in accordance with the policies of the NJ DOC to assist the inmate population toward complete social rehabilitation.
