As a critical care EMT, I assisted my nurse and respiratory therapist at bedside in ICU and PICU settings. I was tasked with setting up IV pumps, monitoring vital signs, CPR, managing equipment for my team, assisting with ventilations, setting up the cardiac monitor and watching for dysthymias. Once the patient was stabilized, I would then transport my crew and the patient to our destination.
