- I was introduced to the family business by my father in the remodeling industry on July 1, 2020, about a month after I graduated. The family business consists of my father and two brothers. My shift starts in the morning at 7:00 A.M., and ends around 6:30 P.M. Our task varied per job. Remodeling the interiors taught me how to do sheetrock repairs, tape and float, install trim, perform floor installations, prime, prep, caulk, paint, and handle basic plumbing and electrical installations, such as installing a new sink, toilet, or fan. While remodeling exteriors, we had a few jobs that required us to put siding on houses. The majority of the time, we repaired the trim and replaced the rotten trim. Afterwards, we began prep work, which consisted of priming, puttying, and caulking any openings or cracks on the siding, soffit, and trim. And finally, our specialty is paint, so we would begin painting. Providing positive customer service is another one of our main focuses. We've met so many great people over the years.
