My name is Elana Oberman, I am 17 years old and the youngest child of 4 siblings; including 3 older sisters. I grew up on a farm just west of Clinton, Iowa my entire life. With that, I've experienced a lot of work-based skills throughout my years. Making sure my animal and house chores were taken care of before anything else was my top priority. The phrase "work before play" has had a big impact on my life. My family and I are big into sports, especially basketball. I like to consider that my hobby. I've played since the 3rd grade, and continue to play here and there. I'm easily motivated and willing to be placed in any position that works best for other employees. I love being able to work and satisfy the needs of others in order to be satisfied within myself. I am attentive and considerate which makes communicating very easy for me. Not only am I well at multitasking, but I'm not afraid to work in challenging environments. I can adapt to whatever I am asked of without any problems or concerns.
My coaches have always pushed me into doing better and having faith in myself. I always strive for improvement and reaching short term goals for myself. I love adrenaline and by participating in extra curricular activities, I am able to express and release that feeling in a positive manner. I believe having an out such as sports or other productive hobby's is a great skill to have down the road. Being able to accomplish or achieve the goals I've set for myself in sporting environments is an amazing feeling.
