Primary Duties Responsibilities

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide guidance on lumber, building materials, and related products.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain a good understanding of lumber sizes, grades, and uses, as well as other building supplies.
• Cutting Services: Operate cutting equipment (panel saws, radial saws, etc.) to cut lumber or other materials to customer specifications.
• Merchandising: Stock shelves, organize lumber piles, and ensure aisles are clean and safe.
• Safety & Compliance
  Follow all safety guidelines for handling lumber, operating cutting machines, and lifting heavy materials.
  Ensure that all tools and machinery are used properly and safely.
• Inventory & Stocking
  Unload deliveries of lumber and building supplies.
  Inspect lumber for defects, damage, or quality issues.
  Maintain proper labeling and pricing on materials.
• Customer Service & Sales
  Recommend alternative products when specific items are unavailable.
  Assist with loading materials into customer vehicles.
  Upsell related products (fasteners, adhesives, protective gear, etc.).
• Teamwork & Store Support
  Assist other departments when needed (tools, hardware, garden).
  Communicate with supervisors about inventory shortages or customer concerns.
  Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Conducted door-to-door sales presentations to promote and sell innovative products and services
