Preferred Subjects

  • Math is a subject that truly inspires me and keeps me motivated to learn more. While I often face challenges, I’ve come to realize that these struggles are an important part of the process. When I encounter difficult problems, I see them as opportunities to think critically and push myself further. Recently, I’ve been particularly interested in AP Calculus, which has been both exciting and challenging. The concepts of derivatives aren’t always easy, but I’ve learned that working through these difficulties is key to really understanding the material. I’ve come to appreciate that struggle isn’t something to shy away from it’s actually a necessary part of learning that helps me develop persistence and problem-solving skills.
  • Biology has always been something I’m really intrigued by and AP Biology has only deepened that interest. There are definitely moments when it feels overwhelming, like trying to fully grasp how complex processes like cellular respiration work or understanding all the details of Cellular Energetics But I’ve come to realize that those struggles are just part of the learning journey. When things don’t click right away, it actually motivates me to push through and find new ways to make sense of it. AP Biology has taught me that it’s okay to struggle it’s through those challenges that I grow the most. I’ve learned to embrace the tough moments, knowing that they’re helping me become a stronger student and thinker. The process isn’t always easy, but it makes the moments of understanding even more rewarding.
  • English, especially through AP Literature and AP Language and Composition , has had a big impact on my mindset. These classes have helped me think more critically, dive deeper into texts, and understand different perspectives. They’ve also boosted my confidence in writing and speaking, making me feel more comfortable expressing my ideas. Reading literature has made me more emotionally aware and resilient, teaching me to face challenges with a positive mindset. Overall, AP Lit and AP Lang have encouraged me to embrace growth and learn from every experience.
