  • Responsible for timely and accurate processing of employee death claims, retirement code corrections under the provisions of the Federal Employees Retirement Code Correction Act (FERCCA), and reemployed annuitants.
  • Provide guidance to employees wishing to make service credit payments for temporary, refunded or military service and the pros and cons of their options.
  • Prepare annuity estimates and associated information for employees to make informed retirement decisions.
  • Review OPFs of newly-hired and transfer employees to verify benefits entitlements, elections and options.
  • Notify all new employees of benefits entitlements, elections and options.
  • Prepare written material on benefits and retirement policies, programs or procedures for publications and distribution to employees.
  • I have provided benefits and retirement services to other Agencies within the Department.
