Serve on a shared service team providing benefit information and services to over 3000+ employees.
Assigned to provide benefit services to Senior Executives and Political Appointees.
I interpret and provide guidance on regulations related to benefit programs on a daily basis.
Provide individual counseling on retirement regulations and procedures, clarify eligibility requirements and explain policies and procedures.
Complete reviews of service histories; assist employees with making temporary service deposits/re-deposits and military deposits; and conduct new employee orientation.

Responsible for timely and accurate processing of employee death claims, retirement code corrections under the provisions of the Federal Employees Retirement Code Correction Act (FERCCA), and reemployed annuitants.
Provide guidance to employees wishing to make service credit payments for temporary, refunded or military service and the pros and cons of their options.
Prepare annuity estimates and associated information for employees to make informed retirement decisions.
Review OPFs of newly-hired and transfer employees to verify benefits entitlements, elections and options.
Notify all new employees of benefits entitlements, elections and options.
Prepare written material on benefits and retirement policies, programs or procedures for publications and distribution to employees.
