I participated in the Binational Teacher Exchanged through the Migrant Education Program between Mexico and the U.S.A. After my participation, I was hired by the Alamosa School District as the EL paraprofessional. Then, I obtained my teaching license in Colorado. After that, I got my Master Degree and received my Culturally and Linguistically Diverse K-12 Endorsement. I have worked in the Alamosa School District for 23 years. EL instruction and Bilingual Education are my passion.
I am responsible for the 3-5 EL department. Recently, I was assigned as the K-12 EL Coordinator.
Elementary Education
I have been working in the After School Program for Tutoring, providing ELA and Math instruction to 4th and 5th graders.
I participate in the Summer Academy School. I teach Grade 5.
I am responsible for organizing the Family Nights for the K-5 EL Family Night and Summer Academy.
I provide activities to students for the State Migrant Education Program (MEP).
Every summer, I host for a month, two Binational Teachers, through MEP.
