In my current role as Overnight Ranger Lead, I coordinate shift assignments and coverage, guide and mentor team members, and help ensure work is completed according to zoo policies. I oversee nightly safety and security, and respond to emergencies. I check in contractors, coordinate with other departments and emergency responders.

I help maintain a safe and secure environment for zoo staff, guest, and animals through regular patrols, surveillance monitoring, and securing facilities and access points. I respond to emergencies, identify and address safety hazards, and accurately document incidents. I also provide guidance to fellow rangers, assist with training new team members, and support daily operations, special events, and animal keeper activities while ensuring zoo policies and safety procedures are followed.
