• Connected families with community resources such as lactation consultants or pediatricians when additional support was needed beyond my scope of practice as a doula.

Children 4 months, 5 months, and 5 years at start

I provided long-term care for the 4 and 5 month old children as well as babysitting services throughout my time with both families and currently. Below were my duties.

• Organized activities that intersected children's interests with child development and enhancing character-building qualities such as responsibility, respect, empathy, and self-discipline.
• Worked with parents on developmental goals including transitioning to solid food, potty training, learning letters, etc.
• Prepared meals and snacks for children based on dietary guidelines.
• Assisted with light housekeeping duties as well as running errands.

Children 4 years-12 years

• Planned and implemented engaging lessons and activities for children to promote additional learning opportunities.
• Organized and supervised games and recreational activities after programming to promote physical, mental and social development in children.
• Implemented restorative justice-based behavior modification strategies, resulting in improved self-regulation and student engagement in behavior management.

Children 5 and 6 years old

• Assisted lead teacher in designing creative lesson plans aligned with students' interests and curriculum standards.
• Provided one-on-one support for students struggling academically or emotionally, offering additional resources as needed.
• Contributed to a nurturing learning atmosphere by consistently demonstrating patience, empathy, and encouragement towards students.
• Participated in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current on education trends.
• Evaluated student progress regularly using formative assessments, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting instructional methods accordingly.

Children newborn-4 years

• Provided consistent childcare during church services, allowing parents to participate worry-free.
• Scheduled volunteers to work in the nursery on a rotating schedule as well as communicated scheduling and scheduling changes to workers.
• Boosted parent satisfaction by maintaining a clean, organized, and nurturing environment for children in the nursery.
• Implemented creative solutions to accommodate families with unique needs or requests related to their child''s care at the church nursery setting.
