Elizabeth B. Parks brings 15 years of expertise in monitoring marsh, swamp, and estuarine environments for the CES East Area offices in LaPlace and Belle Chasse. With a strong background in field data collection and data quality, she has played a crucial role in the SWAMP water quality program. Her leadership extends to mentoring junior biologists and interns, providing guidance on field data collection protocols, as well as environmental data processing and analysis. Alongside her boating skills, she demonstrates exceptional proficiency in navigating swamps and marshes on foot or on ATV. Elizabeth has also conducted research on brackish marsh ponds and mycobacteriosis in striped bass, showcasing her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge in her field.
