Born and raised in Oklahoma City with the ocean hundreds of miles away, Galveston became a second home to me. Coming here on vacation paved the way to a marine science degree. The skills I have acquired along with my degree, such as field data collection and scientific analysis, align with my interests in becoming a marine scientist.
