Individual service act

Pop Warner Coach, I worked as a cheerleader coach for Pop Warner during my junior year. This was a chance to volunteer. Three days a week, I led practice for girls between the ages of 5 and 6. On Saturday mornings, we held weekly games. The squad participated in competitions, therefore I had to come up with and train the girls' routine. Throughout, I served as a leader and exhibited commitment, tolerance, and patience. I devoted all of my time to helping my athletes get better, including long drives and early mornings. I supervised them and served as a mentor for them in areas other than cheerleading. Assuring their security and showing them the same respect that I urged them to show others. In the same process, I gave them structure and entertainment. The best perk of doing this, even though it was voluntary work, was watching their enjoyment and fostering their love for a cause close to my heart.
