Elizabeth Griffin

EMT-B
Harwich,MA

Summary

I am a dedicated professional with a year of EMS experience. I have worked at Coastal Medical Since September of 2024 as a full time employee responding to both emergent and non-emergent calls. Since May of 2025 I have also worked as a member of the Orleans Fire Department as a seasonal EMT posted at Nauset Beach. We have been the first EMS units on scene for a wide variety of calls. In the past year I have worked to gain more knowledge and sharpen my skills so that I can be an asset to any team.

Although for the past year my focus has been on bettering my skills as a first responder I have a dynamic background as an HVAC Installer and Sheetmetal Fabricator. I started at 16 years old working for a local HVAC and Plumbing contractor as an apprentice. As I gained more knowledge as an installer I also began to work closely with the head fabricator to complete complex custom air duct fittings for clients.

In addition to my technical knowledge I had the privilege to work closely with the "Girls in the Trades" program at Cape Cod Tech. There I was able to meet with other young women who had interest in working in "non-traditional" and/or other male dominated fields. I was a guest speaker on multiple occasions and was able to guide and mentor several young women. I took pride in making sure these young people felt confident when entering jobs that were "non-traditional"
