Serve as direct lead in creation and tracking of annual operating plan in Cascade Strategy Execution Platform, and 5-year organizational strategic plans to ensure alignment with UMMS Strategic Framework
Develop competitive strategies that include addition, delegation or enhancement of services and diversification strategies
Create detailed business plans within specified clinical programs to support identified acute and ambulatory services priority initiatives that focus on achievement of medical center or clinical program goals
Assist in developing hospital-based budgeted volumes
Provide leadership support within the organization, ensuring that business development, clinical service line and clinical operations leaders collaborate on desired methods and results to achieve business development goals
Work with various operational and physician leaders to understand the assumptions for business plans
Champion and lead interdepartmental projects with staff, when appropriate to engage multiple constituencies (e.g., quality improvement, finance, management, engineering, operations, and marketing) in analyses, planning and implementation of assigned projects and corporate initiatives
Assess the needs and preference of physicians and other stakeholders for expanded clinical services and external opportunities for program alignment
Meet periodically with current users to determine the efficiency of existing clinical programs
Report findings to direct report and/or senior leadership team
Provide leadership and/or participate in select system-wide initiatives or committees
