Though I have had the opportunity to complete many diverse clinical rotations throughout my nursing school journey, I was fortunate to conclude my experience in the Cardiac Critical Care unit at Methodist hospital. This final rotation allowed me to apply everything I had learned, focusing on complex cardiac conditions and high-acuity patients. I gained invaluable experience working alongside a skilled healthcare team, further developing my critical thinking, assessment skills, and ability to manage time-sensitive interventions. This rotation solidified my passion for critical care nursing and prepared me to confidently transition into the next phase of my nursing career.
During my internship, I was fortunate enough to get a ton of hands-on learning experience while working alongside my nurse. I was able to apply the knowledge I was learning in school to each individual patient. I gained experience assisting with medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and performing sterile wound care. I worked closely with nurses to provide direct patient care, including bathing, feeding, and grooming. I also communicated with families about their loved ones' progress and actively participated in interdisciplinary care meetings. This experience strengthened my clinical skills and deepened my passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Medical Mission Trip, Guatemala – March 2024
Participated in a life-changing medical mission trip through San Lucas, where I provided healthcare support to children in underserved communities. This eye-opening experience deepened my understanding of global health disparities and reinforced my passion for nursing. I assisted with basic healthcare needs, helped educate families on preventive care, and built meaningful connections with the local community. It was an invaluable opportunity to put my nursing skills to work in a challenging, yet deeply rewarding environment.
Piano & Cooking
In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and experimenting in the kitchen. Both activities allow me to express creativity and maintain balance, helping me stay grounded and focused in my nursing career.
