  • Traveled to multiple boat landings along the east shore and west shore of Green Bay, WI to interview anglers, asking them a standard set of questions for a creel survey. This was done for both Ice Creel and Open Water Creel.
  • Counted the number of anglers (trailers, or cars at landings, etc.) using the Bay at various times.
  • Record biological data such as weight, length, fin clips, tags on angler-caught fish, and collecting Yellow Perch anal spines for age determination.
  • Submitted a weekly fishing report with details about fishing pressure, water surface temperature, choices of bait and water depth of fish caught by anglers.
  • Used knowledge of fish in the area to help anglers to identify what they have caught on their fishing trips.
  • Was knowledgeable about fishing rules and regulations. Upon violations, report to local game wardens.
  • Moored Boat count (counting and recording). Travel along the shore of the Bay to get a count and then boat numbers for mail in surveys for the Creel Census.
  • Boat Shocked Walleye with Boom Shockers on the Fox River and in Lilly Lake for Smallmouth Bass and other species.
  • Night shocked on Book Shocker.
  • Measured, identified sex, and administered Floy Tags on Walleye.
  • Cross-sectioned Walleye Spines with an Isomet Saw for aging purposes.
  • Aged Walleye spines using a Olympus Stereomicroscope (SZX7) with flexible light guides for External and brightfield/darkfield transmitted light illuminator.
  • Net mending for fyke nets.
  • Entered data from surveys and maintained data from previous surveys.
  • Backpack shock streams for Northern Pike rescues.
  • Stream Shocked streams for survey purposes.
  • Recorded flow (discharge) in streams after stream shocking. Then analyzed the data to figure out overall flow of a stream.
  • Worked with Spotted Musky on the Fox River, took genetic samples from tail.
  • Mark and recapture study on Clark Lake, Door County using fyke nets. Measured and clipped caudle fin for recap data to get population estimation.

  • Data recording for Lake Sturgeon on the Peshtigo River. Purpose of the study was to implant transmitters in the Lake Sturgeon for population/movement patterns.

  • Using Fish Identification Keys to key out species of minnows.
  • Floy Tagged Brown Trout on the Oconto River from a fish hatchery for released with Trout Unlimited.
