Experienced attorney with long-term and consistent experience in local land use matters; experience working with both developers and public agencies on planning and land use matters through the entitlement and enforcement process, drafting related land use documents as well as environmental regulations; coordinate with public officials as well as developers Provide expert counsel on California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) matters, drafting and environmental documents and agreements, defending (or bringing), litigating and/or resolving CEQA or related challenges. Experience also includes reviewing, drafting and enforcing all municipal ordinances and regulations as well as analyzing and applying state and federal laws, regulations and case law, comprehensive document review and legal research for regulatory compliance; reviewing, revising, drafting and creating templates of all types of municipal contracts; researching and analyzing a large range of state, federal and on occasion tribal laws; and advising municipal utilities. Extensive experience with the Brown Act, conflicts of interest and municipal governance, including attendance at meetings.
