- Collecting baseline blood samples for TRH response tests, CBC/CHEM panels, ACTH, and other serum tests such as equine infectious anemia, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and PRP injections, etc.
- Sterilized joint injection sights for sport horse intra-articular injections.
- Cleaned and disinfected exam areas/surgical equipment. Ensured proper disposal of surgical needles or utensils in biohazard containers.
- Bandage and cast patients or provide instructed port-operative care.
- Chart all patient records and scribe for a veterinarian.
- Prepared surgical instrument packs and drapes for use in sterile environments by processing in autoclave.
