• Responsible for nurse oversight, policy and procedure development, and ongoing education for agency staff.
• Oversight, budget management and compliance monitoring of the following programs and federal grants: Federal Early Detection Breast & Cervical Cancer Program, Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, Immunizations, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy Services, Refugee Health, Teen Confidential Services, and Tuberculosis, to name a few.
• Work collaboratively with community partners to ensure public health.
• Successful grant writing applications for Rape Education and Prevention (additional $5k awarded) and Workforce Development (5-year agreement)
• Formed community partnership with Florida State University College of Public Health to implement an Internship Program. Our first candidate begins January 2024
• Revamped nurse onboarding process, in collaboration with frontline staff, clinicians and supervisors.

• Company Overview: Consisting of four acute care and two specialty hospitals, primary-care, specialty-care offices and more, Lee Health boasts nearly 2,000 beds. It is now the largest public health system in the state of Florida.
• Responsible for coordinating 17 OR suites, including OR, EP lab, and CVOR. Included supervision of RNs, CSTs, unit aides and other assistive personnel.
• Responsible for conducting pre-procedure interviews and ordering/scheduling all pre-procedure testing.
• Work collaboratively with Department of Anesthesia and surgeon's office to ensure safe patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Redefined Clinical Supervisor duties to focus more on activities within the operating room suites.

• Company Overview: The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority (HSA) is the country's principal healthcare provider, offering the most comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient, and public health services at seven locations on all three islands, including the 124-bed hospital in Grand Cayman where I was employed.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a busy 4-suite operating room, consisting of three pre-op holding bays, four ORs, four PACU bays and seven ACU bays.
• Managed registered nurses, surgical technologists, nurse assistants, unit clerks and OR assistants. Ensured smooth patient care and transition throughout the perioperative experience.
• Worked in collaboration with Chief Nursing Officer and Human Resources to create the OR Assistant position: combining the separate roles of Porter and Housekeeper.
• Implemented an 'RN Expeditor' position to facilitate pre-op holding and room turnover functions.
• Part of the Joint Commission International team in preparation for our facility's first accreditation survey in July 2020.

• Company Overview: NCH Baker Hospital, in Naples, Florida is just one of the many members of the NCH alliance of more than 700 independent physicians and medical facilities in dozens of locations throughout Collier County and southwest Florida. • OR Circulator RN for a 12-suite operating room, including orthopedics, endovascular, general, neuro, and urology surgical service lines.

• Company Overview: St. Joseph Hospital, located in Bangor, Maine, is a 112-bed acute care community hospital. As a member of Covenant Health, a faith-based, Catholic regional health delivery network, they are a leader in values-based, not-for-profit health and elder care. St. Joseph's employs more than 800 people in more than 30 departments.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a busy six suite OR with 43 direct reports, performing just over 400 cases per month; heavy in orthopedic, general and neurosurgery specialty lines.
• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, rules, DNV requirements, statutes and regulations pertaining to operations.
• Reporting to Director of Surgical Services, collaborate with CMO, CNO, Chief of Anesthesia, Chief of Surgery and VP of Patient Services to facilitate delivery of care, strategic business planning, service designs and fiscal/budgetary planning.
• Successfully implemented key strategies for employee engagement and retention.
• Successfully onboard full time staff for all existing vacancies and gaps in staffing.

• Company Overview: Florida Hospital Tampa is a not-for-profit health care system that is constantly growing and evolving. Clinical excellence and innovation thrive within our faith-based culture. We are the tertiary facility for the Western Region of the Adventist Hospital system, with 475 licensed beds and 3,037 employees.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Main Operating Room, Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy departments, with 120 direct reports.
• These areas are comprised of 17 OR suites and four Endo suites, performing approximately 1,200 combined cases per month.
• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, rules, and TJC requirements.
• Collaborate with Administrative Director, CNO, CFO, and Medical Directors to facilitate delivery of care, strategic business planning, service designs, and fiscal/budgetary planning.
• Successfully completed our TJC accreditation survey in January 2017 with no deficiencies or citations issued in any of my departments.
• Realized significant improvement in patient, physician, and employee satisfaction scores during the third and fourth quarters of 2016. Ambulatory Surgery received recognition for the most dramatic improvement, hospital wide.
• Responsible for increasing volume and revenue, while reducing expenses year after year in both endoscopy and ambulatory surgery departments.

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a busy, multi-specialty outpatient surgery center, with three OR suites, 15 direct reports, combined with our sister facility, performing approximately 350 cases per month.
• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, rules, AAAHC requirements, statutes and regulations pertaining to the operation of the facility.
• Collaborate with Administrator, Medical Director, and other members of the Medical Executive Committee to facilitate delivery of care, strategic business planning, service designs, and development and implementation of quality measures.
• Maintain credentialing files, process all initial and reappointment applications for privileges, reporting to the Executive Board for final approval.
• Successfully completed our facility's State and Federal CMS Survey in February 2015. The surveyors found no deficiencies and issued no citations.
• Promoted to Director of Nursing at Northside Dunwoody Surgery Center in 2013; a facility recently acquired by the system, to plan and facilitate its transition from an HOPD to a free-standing ASC. The transition was successful and took effect September 1, 2015.
• Compared to previous data, our surgeon satisfaction and patient satisfaction scores significantly increased since 2013. Employee morale and retention also improved dramatically.
• To increase volume and better utilize the facility, I actively participated in physician outreach, and in two months, credentialed five additional surgeons across several specialties.
• Encouraged nurses and surgical technologists with specialty certification to maintain their specialty certification and urged those without to pursue their certification. This resulted in our facility being recognized by the Competency Credentialing Institute as a 'CNOR Strong' facility.

Responsible for multiple service lines in a busy 14 suite OR with 18 direct reports, performing over 800 cases per month.

• Acted as a liaison between surgeons and OR team, serving as a resource and clinical specialist.
• Responsible for planning and providing annual educational workshops, frequent staff in-services, ensuring appropriate ongoing training, education, and supervision.
• Responsible for working collaboratively with materials management and sterile processing departments to maintain appropriate inventory, instrument sets, preference cards, and developing capital budget with Business Operations Manager..
• Served on a multi-disciplinary committee, charged with developing and implementing a system-wide Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP), including related policies and processes. Developed through evidence-based practice, the MTP is still in place and has been proven to dramatically improve patient outcomes.
• Established a successful HIPEC program with one of the world's preeminent gynecological oncology surgeons. I also served as a resource for other institutions and healthcare professionals considering this treatment modality, providing insight related to planning, implementation, regulatory compliance issues, pharmacy and anesthesia protocols, staff education/competencies and more.
• Member of the Ethics Committee and Education Sub-Committee.
• Selected to serve on the Ground Floor Surgery OR redesign project. This was a multi-million-dollar project that spanned several years. I was recognized by senior leadership as having superior organizational skills, implementing countless process improvements, and a proven track record of forging positive relationships with staff, colleagues, physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team and ancillary/support services.

• Responsible for providing competent, compassionate care of the adult and pediatric surgical patient, spanning every phase of the perioperative experience.

• Launched the Robotics program at the Northside Cherokee campus. Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing this new service line. Also developed the curriculum, competencies, and ongoing education for the newly established Robotics team.
