After leaving Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in early 2017, I traveled abroad with a film crew to study and document various alternative cancer therapies to further educate myself on treatment options and outcomes. This research and film work accounts for the gap in work history from February 2017 through August 2017. In addition, during my time with Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, I started a volunteer chef program providing nutritionally dense meals to oncology patients across the Lake Tahoe area. I recruited local businesses to donate products, and prepared meal plans based on patient needs, providing support and wellness education throughout the cancer treatment journey. In my daily life, I am passionate about nutrition, movement, functional medicine, holistic healthcare, community, and illness prevention.
