  • Responsible for responding swiftly and precisely to five lines of 911 for emergency calls regarding police, fire, and EMS.
  • Responsible for communicating over multiple radio channels including, police, fire/ems, sheriff, multi-band, etc.
  • Sounded warning severe weather/attack sirens for the city limits.
  • Responsible for five lines of non-emergency phone calls regarding police issues, city ordinance complaints, records requests, and call tranfsers.
  • Conducted prisoner checks every half hour, administered prisoner medications, and provided prisoner meals.
  • Received and responded to multiple radio traffic requested through police personnel and fire/ems units.
  • Responsible for entering and filing warrants, emergency protective orders, directives to apprehend, criminal trespass warnings, etc. in a TLETS/NLETS TCIC/NCIC database as well as an in-house CAD system.
  • Entered prompt and correct information into multiple computer systems for in-coming calls for service while simultaneously verbally dispatching information to responding units.
  • Responded to radio traffic for current calls, while intaking new information on in-coming calls.
  • Relayed requested data information to officers while simultaneously receiving new information for in-coming calls.
  • Received and directed after-hours public works emergencies such as water leaks, sewer backups, etc.
  • Received and dispatched complaints and requests for animal control related calls.
  • Required to be very familiar with geography and mapping of the city limits and entire county of Fannin.
  • Tended to public office window of dispatch for walk-in civilian requests of assistance.
  • Received fine payments through window, and filed payments/receipts accordingly.
