Qualified support professional with positive and friendly demeanor. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, solid history of tackling diverse and challenging requirements, managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude, and willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet teem goals.
As the Scholarship Coordinator, I worked directly with tribal students to support their journey into higher education. I guided students through every step of the financial aid process, helping them complete FAFSA applications, KBIC scholarship forms, and a variety of external scholarship opportunities. I also assisted with necessary college paperwork, ensuring students had the information and support they needed to successfully enroll and stay on track academically.
A major part of my role involved maintaining organized and up‑to‑date student files. I tracked grades, credit hours, GPAs, and contact information for each student, ensuring that all documentation was accurate and complete. I also managed the Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver (MITW) process and worked closely with the Tribal Liaison at MiLEAP to resolve issues and support students’ eligibility.
Beyond administrative responsibilities, I actively engaged in outreach efforts to promote post‑secondary education within the tribal community. I provided guidance to students and families about higher education options, financial aid, and program requirements, and I helped create a welcoming and supportive environment where students felt confident pursuing their educational goals. My role required strong communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to empowering tribal students on their academic paths.
