Ellen Miller

Sonora

Summary

I have strong knowledge and work primarily in department 4 on the felony calendar. The felony calendar consists of prison commitments, preliminary examinations, trial readiness conference, report and sentencing, and the confidential juvenile delinquency calendar. Department 4 also hears civil matters, probate matters and family law matters.

Before being assigned to department 4, I was primarily on the misdemeanor arraignment calendar in department 3 and the misdemeanor public defender calendar and private counsel. The calendar consisted of pre-trials, trial readiness conferences.

In my opinion, I feel like I can clerk in any department. I am not very proficient in the Probate calendar, but I can take good notes and ask questions later.

I am very detail-oriented, professional and fun with extensive experience at Tuolumne County Superior Court, excelling in courtroom procedures and working with the Court. I have strong ability to multitask under pressure. I am recognized for creative problem-solving and pay strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate records and efficient processing of minute orders and orders from the Court.

I am proficient in preparing documents and issuing court orders.
