Grew up in an (IMB) missionary family that served both in Russia and Ukraine. In that part of the world, one may say it is a cultural norm to have skilled string players in every music school.
Studies proceeding high school graduation: A bachelor of arts degree which included a minor in russian with Shanon Spasova and several general classes for credits. Throughout, cello lessons where taken with Suren Bagratuni's studio. Also, being introduced to Kevin Noe, performed with the MSU symphony at the Wharton center several times. Things changed after an accident which resulted with a broken cello neck.
A luthier apprenticeship was taken with William White at White Brothers Music Co. located in Bath, MI. Here began an interest in tools and the trades. After getting married in 2017, there was a need for more consistent work. Becoming acquainted with Dennis Geisenhaver- owner of Thee Electric Co.- lead to a pursuit in an electrical apprenticeship. Thee Electric sponsored the schooling (Greater Michigan Construction Academy) required to take the test to become a journeyman.
Am currently an instructor at GMCA, a seasoned Journeyman electrician, a practicing adept cellist, and studying to know more than two languages fluently.
