  • Creating a supportive and welcoming library environment by greeting students warmly when they arrive for Library class, memorizing the names of 600+ students, helping them locate books relevant to their interests, culture, or in their home language. Maintaining a clean and orderly space, and creating book displays each month related to upcoming holidays and instructional topics.
  • Running the circulation desk at River Ridge Elementary school: checking in/out materials using Follett Destiny, running reports, shelving, managing student holds, repairing damaged books, weeding damaged or outdated books from the collection, trouble-shooting student and staff laptop issues.
  • Processing new library materials: stamping, labeling, covering with cold laminate, kapco hard covers, mylar jackets, adding materials to Destiny catalogue. Created a new expanded World Language section with signage.
  • Assisting the Library Tech Integration Specialist during instruction periods and library events: classroom management and behavioral support, translating for students, conducting yearly inventory, running the Scholastic Book Fair.
