My name is Ellis Lucas, I am a Missouri native currently living in Manchester, Tennessee. I saw your posting for an open Class A CDL linehaul driving position, and I wanted to submit my resume and apply for your open position. I am a single man and I can be relocated in a matter of days.

I have a plethora of experience as a linehaul driver, currently working for a small contract carrier pulling for FedEx Ground based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I was doing a dedicated night run to Louisville, Kentucky and back Monday through Friday but my, along with a few additional runs were cancelled by FedEx during the first week of November 2023.

I have experience in all types of weather. I enjoyed nearly fourteen wonderful years working for Estes Express Lines in both Kansas City, Kansas and Colorado working as both a P&D city driver and, as a terminal to terminal and meet linehaul driver. I started my career with Estes in January of 2001 as the only Estes Express Lines driver in Western Missouri. I kept my truck at home and did a daily meet with a St Louis, Missouri driver each morning.

I was born into a trucking family and grew up on a farm in N.W. Missouri. My late father owned two successful auto transport companies in Missouri which taught me a treasure in knowledge regarding not only driving but the business side of a successful trucking company as well.

I have nearly 30 years of safe accident-free commercial driving, zero violations on my Clearinghouse, and zero tickets in the past three years on my Tennessee Class A CDL that I will quickly exchange for a new CDL when my new physical residential address is established if hired.

I am in the prime of my driving and my personal life. I don't drink, smoke, or use drugs, and with a new and unrestricted two-year medical card, I am a turn-key professional driver eager and ready to go to work.

I get along great with staff, customers, and co-workers, and with my experience, good health, and great work history, I will be a great addition to whichever company gives me the opportunity. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to interview for your driving position.
