Been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for seven years, graduated from Kaplan College in 2014, then went on to do Clinicals in different locations including Convalescent Homes, Hospice and Psych facilities. Once clinicals were done doing all the clinical hours, started working at Maxim Healthcare, working with Pediatrics in a school setting. Started working there around August 2016, the first case was with a Pediatric patient with paraplegia due to a stroke and with a history of seizures. Assisted the student at school with toileting, helping the patient with school duties like homework, and administering Medications. Was doing 1:1 for 8th grade and the rest of the High school year until the student graduated. After that a great opportunity began at South El Monte High School as the float LVN for the CBI department. Nursing duties included working under the supervision of a RN, and assisting in daily activities such as toileting, feeding and changing. Was also in charge of documenting and charting, working with pediatric patients with G-Tubes, Tracheostomy and wheelchair bound patients. Other duties included, working with patients with seizure disorders, providing the appropriate care according to their seizure care plan and giving the correct medications. Currently work as an LVN for Kipp schools, at Kipp Corazon Upper Academy, duties include caring for Diabetic Students, caring for students with GI Tubes and Medication Administration and making sure students are safe while at school. Overall, the work as an LVN includes caring for pediatric patients and showing compassion by assisting with the needs of pediatric patients. Adept at addressing patient needs with compassionate care and attention to detail and providing the best care. Diligent about maximizing satisfaction, safety and wellness while serving patients of all backgrounds.
